Your integrity is important to us, and this privacy policy describes how RecMan collects and uses personal data. The privacy policy is based on the legislation in Norway, where RecMan is established.


How and what information is collected
The collection of data may be in relation to the following:

  • When you register a candidate profile, the information provided by the candidate is collected together with an IP address and web browser data
  • If you register your profile using one of the “Search with X” functions, data related to this authentication will be collected together with your profile
  • We collect aggregated data regarding the visitors to our website, i.e., traffic data and location data
  • In some cases, we store the email correspondence with you together with your candidate profile
  • The system enters cookies into your web browser, as it is described in the cookie notice


What the information is used for
The information that is collected is used where necessary to:

  • Deliver our services to you and communicate with you about the services
  • Evaluate your qualifications and facilitate current and future recruitment and staffing assignments
  • Inform about relevant openings and offerings that we can provide
  • Be compliant with legal requirements.


Controller and Processor
RecMan is for this site both the Controller and Processor. This means that we are gathering data about candidates on this site, as well as being the company that provides the RecMan system. RecMan is in other words the party responsible for developing, maintaining, and supporting the system where your personal data is being stored. RecMan uses subcontractors to perform some of the Processor tasks.

There is separate Data Processing Agreements with subcontractors, which regulate the type of information that the subcontractor has access to and how the information is to be handled.


Third parties
RecMan wishes to process your personal data, and the data also needs to be available for presentation to customers and other collaborating partners to RecMan. The Controller and the Processor are required to comply with the requirements that are stated by law. Collaborating partners could i.e. be external recruitment agencies that assist RecMan with the recruiting of new employees.

To use the data efficiently and offer you the best services possible, it is sometimes necessary to send information to a third party. These third parties have separate and independent privacy policies. RecMan is not responsible for the content and the activities in associated services. However, we still wish for the data within those services to be protected and welcome any feedback related to the area.


Right to access, change or erase your personal data
With a registered profile on this site, you have the right to request access and correction of your personal data or for it to be erased, as stated in the user agreement. The request is to be responded to without charge and within 30 days.

If you wish to withdraw your consent to processing your personal data, you do this by deleting your profile. As a candidate, you may at any time so so from “My profile” while logged in, or you can contact RecMan to receive assistance. By accessing your profile, you can also change the information that you have added - not related to information stored in regards to data generated through administrative, legal, and technical operations.

Your candidate profile with associated information will be stored for up to 1 year for recruitment purposes. If you are employed by RecMan AS, your profile will be stored longer for the purpose of handling the employment relationship.
